Our Story

About Us

We cut through the noise with honest, science-backed beauty content — no sponsored fluff, no empty promises.

Why we started this

The beauty industry is worth over $500 billion and most of its content is built around selling you something. Ingredient lists are deliberately confusing, influencer reviews are paid for, and "dermatologist-approved" means almost nothing legally. We started this blog because we were tired of it.

Our goal is simple: give you accurate, useful information about skincare, beauty technology, and skin science — so you can make smart decisions with your own skin and your own money.

What we cover

We focus on three areas where we think the gap between marketing and reality is biggest:

  • Skincare — Evidence-based routines, ingredient breakdowns, product comparisons, and practical guides for every skin type and budget. We read the studies so you don't have to.
  • AI Beauty Tools — Honest reviews of AI-powered skin analysis apps, virtual consultants, and personalised product recommendation platforms. We test them independently and tell you what actually works.
  • Skin Education — Deep dives into how skin actually works: the skin barrier, collagen production, UV damage, inflammation, and more. Understanding the science helps you make better choices.

Our editorial standards

Every article on this site is written with the following commitments:

  • No paid reviews. We do not accept payment to write positive content about products or brands.
  • Sources cited. Where we reference scientific research, we link to the original study or peer-reviewed source.
  • Updated when wrong. If new evidence contradicts something we published, we correct or update the article.
  • Affiliate transparency. Some product links may be affiliate links. This is always disclosed and never influences our editorial opinion.

Who we are

We are a small team of beauty writers, skincare researchers, and technology reviewers. We do not represent any brand, clinic, or product line. Our only obligation is to the reader.
